Update regularly
Update the pages on your website regularly. inert (or stagnant) websites are dropped by some search engines. Tip: You may put a date counter on your page to show readers when was the last time you updated. What is regularly? It is a good idea to start with a post every day, for a month, then a post every 2 or 3 days, for about a month again, then every 3-4 days every week. When your readers public is established you can update every week, preferably every given day. For example, update every Sunday. so your readers know when to go on your blog and read.
