To get a domain name, it is relatively easy.
First try to jot down 10 to 12 different names.
Then go to www.godaddy.com and start typing your domain name

What is a Hosting Service?
A Hosting service aka webhost for short, is the place where you will be able to place your site, and add some useful tools to it. Such as a mailbox, and other tools you will need to set up your website and make it run smoothly.
There are a number of web host companies. I chose to use hostgator, at www.Hostgator.com, based on the service quality they provide.
